Tim Reimer will be away on vacation from August 6th to 23rd. During this time, if matters of Pastoral concern arise, please call the Elders, whose numbers are listed above.
On Sunday Aug. 22, we will worship at Willowgrove (11737 McCowan Road, Stouffville). There will be no service at the church. Over the next two weeks, please offer rides or ask for rides if you need transportation.
The children at Vacation Bible School raised $500 for their project. $500 was sent to MCC for the “Schools for Peace in IRAQ” program.

We have been invited to meet with MCEC leadership and with other GTA Cluster leaders on Tuesday Sept. 21 at 7pm at Hagerman Mennonite Church. The agenda should cover: (1) MCEC’s purpose and vision; (2) priorities for allocation of resources; and (3) how to ensure financial support for MCEC ministries. We need to send our list of delegates by Sept. 7. Please confirm with Mike DeHaan by Sunday Sept. 5th.

WIDER CHURCH AND COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Five on the Floor is giving a farewell concert at St. Jacob’s Church Theatre on Thursday August 26, at 7:30 pm with special guests “House of Doc”. The Abner Martin Music Scholarship ($3,500 value last year) is awarded annually by Menno Singers to one student who: will be enrolled in a full-time music major or minor program at the undergraduate or graduate level in 2010-11; is affiliated with an MCEC congregation; and has demonstrated involvement and proficiency in musical activities in church and community.
