ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are collecting mitts, hats, scarves and socks for our mitten tree project for Yonge Street Mission. As any of you who have/had teen age children know, black is the preferred colour for this type of clothing (and just about any clothing) so please keep this in mind when you donate larger sizes (which are the most needed). The young children appreciate the brighter colours. Thank you for your support of the outreach projects of Danforth Mennonite Church.
Christmas Carolling – Tuesday evening December 20.
Information update for those who are able to go Christmas Carolling.
(a) Eva and Frank are inviting us back to their home after carolling for food & fellowship
(b) Leslie will coordinate the treat trays & baskets that we take along that evening, and is asking if a couple of people would assist her after church on Dec. 18. Please contact her or speak to Linda or Dalton if you’d be willing to help.
(c) Please sign up for carolling so that we have a good mix of voices that evening. More details will follow.
Have you laid your bricks into the House of Peace for Humanity? Building began on Peace Sunday, November 5, and is ongoing. Bring your ideas of concrete ways we can contribute to a culture of peace, one idea on each block. Bricks, pens and glue are available by the house. We are aiming for 100 good ideas by the end of our centennial year.
The desk in the small office needs a new home. If you’re interested in having it by the end of December please speak to Vic Guerin.
