Call to worship

Leader:            Come, people of God, this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day Jesus enters Jerusalem.

People:            Open the gates of righteousness so that we can enter and give thanks to the Lord.

Leader:            The gates are open, come on in. Give thanks, for God is good!

Forgive us for holding in questions so long that we can’t bear the answers.  Forgive us for fearing the crowds, and the consequences.
Open our eyes and hearts to receive your teaching.  Show us again this new way of living.  Help us to love like you.

Words of assurance

Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Believe in God, believe also in me.”

We are people of God.
We go in God’s love
to extend God’s love
and live God’s promise.

Beyond 94 – Truth and Reconciliation in Canada

The CBC has recently created an interactive website called “Beyond 94, Truth and Reconciliation in Canada”.  On the site you can see which of the ’94 Calls to Action’ are:

  1. Not Started – 44;
  2. In progress – Projects proposed – 25;
  3. In progress – Projects underway – 15;
  4. Complete – 10

It is possible to ‘tap on a flame’ and be given reasons why a Call to Action was completed or not.

You can also look at the six divisions of the 94 Calls, broken down into the individual Calls to Action. This can serve as a review of our study of the Truth and Reconciliation 94 Calls to Action last June in the Adult Class.
