TRC Call to Prayer

Father God,
We acknowledge that You are the Great Creator.  We acknowledge that the earth and everything in it is Yours.  The world and all its people belong to You (Psalm 24:1).  Canada belongs to You.  All who live in Canada belong to You.

We ask for wisdom and humility for all decision makers, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal.  Give them confidence and the necessary resolve to settle land claims justly.  May all sides be receptive to understanding the many different worldviews people possess regarding land, use, and ownership.  We pray that an attitude of generosity will be present when settling these claims.   Amen Context:   TRC Call to Action #52

Special Sunday School Teachers and Helpers Lunch.
Sunday, Oct. 22nd, immediately following worship

This could be for you!  If you are on the Christian Ed Committee, we hope you can make it.  If you have volunteered to teach Sunday School, we hope you can make it.  If you would like to help in some small way, once a month or more, then this is definitely for you!  We'll have lunch together, but we will also go over the teaching schedule, so we all know what Sunday we are on to teach, we'll show everyone the lesson materials that we will be using, and where they are stored, we'll explain how we want to have great faith formation times for each child in the church, and even inspire new kids to come, to make it fun and inspiring.  And we'll encourage one another to follow through on each little commitment that we can offer, every little gift is so important.  Thanks for coming to this lunch!  May the God of Light make all our little "gardens" grow full of delightful learning!  See you there!

This lunch is planned by Becky B., Christian Ed Chair, and Tim R., Pastor.
