TRC Call to Prayer
We thank You for accountability and for grace. We ask that those who compile information and prepare reports remember that they are referencing real people and not just numbers. We ask that politics will not factor into the writing of these reports, but rather we ask that the motivating factor be based upon compassion coupled with the tenacity to see conditions improve for all people living in Canada. May we as Canadians treat one another respectfully in the same way we want our children to be treated. Help us as a society to read these documents seriously and to act upon them. Help us not to be stone throwers when we see areas of failure, but rather help us to be restorers. Amen Context: TRC Call to Action #9
DMC Evening Bible Study “Begin Anew” Time will be spent in fellowship, sharing, praying and studying the series “Begin Anew”. It is meant to foster a sense of community and family as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ on this journey and we shouldn’t be doing it alone. It’s a time to support each other and to grow in our walk with God. Please see the resource material at: https://www.commonword.ca/ResourceView/23/18100 Talk with Tim or sign up in the church lobby.

WIDER CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
ANABAPTIST LEARNING WORKSHOP Engaging the Global History of Anabaptism: From Ethiopia to Canada November 18, 2017 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at Danforth Mennonite Church Compare the experiences of persecution of the Early Anabaptists in the 1500’s with the experience of Ethiopian Anabaptists under the oppressive communist “Derg” government in the 1980’s. What can we learn from the similarities and differences between these two periods of amazing church growth and spiritual vitality, even in the face of incredible hardship? How does this awareness help us grow in our faith and discipleship today? Facilitators: Troy O., Tim R., Bahta K., Kassa L., and Aron H.
