Anabaptist values

Jesus, the center of our faith

We seek to follow Jesus in everyday life through practicing the ethic of Jesus - love God and love your neighbour. We hold central to Jesus’ teachings of love and non-violence and that Scripture is to be interpreted through a Jesus-centered point of view. The Spirit sends us into the world with kindness. The Jesus-way is one in which we learn what it means to decentre self-interest and see with the broader lens of care for one-another. We recognize that Jesus represents our highest loyalty in the life we have been given.

Community, the center of our life

In community we seek to live out and understand together what it means to be disciples of Jesus in the 21st century. We are always on the journey of transformation, and we invite you to be a part of this life together. In a world where there is so much isolation and loneliness, we believe community is a good antidote. We recognize the need to nurture our church family through personal interaction, shared experiences, mutual support, careful discussion of issues, rooted in our common story centred around Jesus.

Reconciliation, the center of our work

The Apostle Paul called on followers of Jesus to be "ambassadors of reconciliation" in a world of violence and oppression. As followers of Jesus, we have been “given the ministry of reconciliation” rooted in the transforming peace and love of Jesus. Together we seek to live into this through engageing various ministries both locally and internationally from helping new immigrants and refugees settling in Toronto to addressing food insecurity or conflict transformation through the work of Mennonite Central Committee.
