Where and When

The Danforth Mennonite Church is located at 2174 Danforth Avenue in Toronto – just a short block east of the Woodbine subway station, on the north side of Danforth.

We invite all to be part of our community of hospitality, love and grace.

We are now on regular hours with our Sunday morning worship service starting at 11:00 a.m.

An adult discussion group meets at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings except for the first Sunday of the month which is used for a hymn sing hour.

If you would like to join us via zoom, please contact the office administrator for a ZOOM invite.

There is a table set up at the back of the church where children will be welcome to go to use the “age – appropriate” activity bags that will be available each Sunday. The children will also be welcome to go to the nursery to use the activity bags if they wish or they can stay in the sanctuary with their parents.

There will be a host available at the table and/or in the nursery to assist the children as needed.

Come and join us for MESSY CHURCH which is a FREE FAMILY EVENT for children 4-12 held once a month on a Saturday evening from 5-7p.m.

Toronto’s Danforth Mennonite Church welcomes Mennonites and Christians of all denominations to worship with us; and we welcome any visitors who may wonder where we hitch the horses and buggies. (We drive cars, ride bicycles, take transit or walk to church).

This small Mennonite congregation in Toronto is very much like the busy street on which our church was built: The businesses and shops on the Danforth may have changed, but through it all we’ve grown and developed here at Woodbine and Danforth Avenues.

Our diverse cultural and religious backgrounds enliven discussions and potlucks. Our commitment to peace and justice continues our tradition of service to the neighbourhood.

Our building is wheelchair accessible and multi-use.

Throughout the week the building serves as a centre for church and community programs. On Sundays the Danforth congregation gathers for church school and worship, and you are most welcome to join us.

The Danforth Mennonite Church is part of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada and Mennonite Church Canada

Our 115th anniversary was celebrated on June 26, 2022.
