…to the Danforth Mennonite Church
Toronto’s Danforth Mennonite Church welcomes Mennonites and Christians of all denominations to worship with us; and we welcome any visitors who may wonder where we hitch the horses and buggies. (We drive cars, ride bicycles, take transit or walk to church).
Where and When
The Danforth Mennonite Church is at 2174 Danforth Avenue in Toronto – just a short block east of the Woodbine subway station, on the north side of Danforth.
Summer Worship Hours begins Sunday, June 18. We will begin our service at 10:30 am. Children of all ages are welcome in summer worship. Sunday School resumes September 10, 2017.
In September, we plan to resume our regular hours: Adult Sunday School at 10:00 am, and the Worship Service at 11. During most 11am worship services, we also provide Sunday School for children from age 4 and up. This is our usual schedule from early September through June.
This small Mennonite congregation in Toronto is very much like the busy street on which our church was built: The businesses and shops on the Danforth may have changed, but through it all we’ve grown and developed here at Woodbine and Danforth Avenues.
Our diverse cultural and religious backgrounds enliven discussions and potlucks. Our commitment to peace and justice continues our tradition of service to the neighbourhood.
Our building is wheelchair accessible and multi-use.
Throughout the week it serves as a centre for church and community programs. On Sundays the Danforth congregation gathers for church school and worship, and you are most welcome to join us.

Our Centennial Celebrations were held April 15-17, 2012. We have worshipped here, and served in the “Woodbine Danforth neighbourhood”, for over one hundred years.
