Protocols for joining our DMC live church service on ZOOM

Many of you have been “regulars” joining us on ZOOM for our Sunday morning services. What started out more as a social gathering and prayer time, gradually developed to mirroring our church service in the building.

On Sunday, March 6, 2022 we welcome the congregation back into our church building. We encourage you to join us but for those of you who prefer to remain at home, you will be able to join us through ZOOM. I want to share with you what changes will take place.

A camera will be focused on the pulpit in the sanctuary and it will be signed into ZOOM. We will spotlight that “ZOOM guest” throughout the service. All other ZOOM participants will be muted throughout the service, with the exception of prayer time and announcements. A ZOOM host will identify those zoom participants wishing to speak during this scheduled time. Your prayer requests and announcements will be played through the sanctuary sound system. We will not be projecting the ZOOM participants on the sanctuary projector screen.

In summary, for those of you joining us via ZOOM, it will be much like watching a church service on television with the exception of being able to ask for prayer requests and making announcements.

After the church service, you are welcome to stay on the ZOOM session for some “lobby” chat time.
