Links to Mennonites

This page has links to many other Mennonite organizations, including Toronto Mennonite churches; Mennonite outreach ministries and agencies in Toronto; as well as regional, Canadian and world-wide Anabaptist organizations. As time passes, more links will be created but these are currently available:

  • Mennonite World Conference is our world-wide denominational organization.
  • Mennonite Church Canada is the Canadian organization for our denomination.
  • Mennonite Church of Eastern Canada has, as its focus, our congregations from Newfoundland through Ontario.
  • Toronto Area Mennonites is a convenient site to learn about the Mennonite churches and organizations in the GTA (“Greater Toronto Area”).
  • Mennonite Central Committee, or “MCC”, is an international and inter-denominational organization dedicated to relief services, which includes promoting social justice and micro-economic growth.
  • GTA Mennonite Festival for World Relief sale is held at Willowgrove Farm, 11737 McCowan Road, Stouffville on the third Saturday of September. A “relief sale” funds some of MCC’s relief work around the world.
  • MDS: Mennonite Disaster Services is “a volunteer network through which various constituencies of the Anabaptist church can respond to those affected by disasters in Canada and the United States”.
  • MEDA: Mennonite Economic Development Associates is “an association of compassionate business women and men who invest in the lives of families living in poverty around the world”. They form partnerships with large and small organizations, including the Aga Khan Foundation, CARE, CIDA, USAID and World Vision to help disadvantaged people around the world to earn a livelihood.
  • Toronto Area Mennonites is a website linking many Mennonite congregations and entities in the GTA.
  • Willowgrove – provides camping and teaching ministries.
  • Glenbrook Day Camp, is associated with Willowgrove.
  • Fraser Lake Camp, is also associated with Willowgrove.
  • Conrad Grebel University College is associated with the University of Waterloo.
  • Toronto Mennonite Theological Centre, is associated with both Conrad Grebel University College and the Toronto School of Theology.
  • GAMEO, the Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia Online, has an entry about us at GAMEO’s DMC entry.
  • Ten Thousand Villages operates stores selling fair trade goods.
  • The St. Clair O’Connor Community offers apartments for seniors, nursing care for 25 residents, and several townhouse units for families. It also provides programs for its neighbours in the GTA.
  • Canadian Mennonite is a print magazine with a significant online presence.
