DANFORTH MENNONITE CHURCH
416-422-2406
Pastor Pieter Niemeyer

All are welcome

Please join us in person at 10:00 a.m. as Pastor Pieter and Mauricio share their reflections on participating in the Anabaptist 500 celebration in Zurich, Switzerland.

Our worship service is at 11:00 a.m.  We continue our “Anabaptism at 500” theme with Pastor Pieter’s message “Renewal at the Lord’s Table.”  This will include a communion service.

We need books for the Little Library.

Church Council invites everyone to a congregational meeting on
Sunday June 22.

Bring a bag lunch; the meeting will begin after a quick lunch break.
We will keep the Zoom session open so everyone can participate in the meeting.
("Everyone" means "everyone who is worshipping with us").

The topic:
As Mike had announced verbally on June 1, we want to ask our denomination (MC Canada and MCEC (Eastern Canada)) to state more clearly that there are congregations that fully include 2SLGBTQ+ people.
The "In This Together" organization had suggested that all MC Canada churches send their views to MC Canada and their regional MC organizations.

The cover letter provides a lot of background information.
In the meeting, we will review the "In This Together" response letter. The goal is to approve it, perhaps with changes, and send it in time for the MC Canada Gathering event in early July.
